GRIEF INFORMED CARE: Practicing Cultural Humility When Companioning the Bereaved

This IN PERSON workshop will equip professionals with a framework to support individuals navigating loss. Attendees will learn how to transition from an expert-driven approach to a collaborative “Companioning” model of care using the Six Universal Needs of Mourning. Case studies will be used so attendees can broaden their understanding of diverse mourning traditions and systems that constrain traditional cultural expressions of grief and loss. This program has been approved for 5 CECs by NASW/C
