Glimmers of Hope
Will you find hope in the New Year?
Hope and expectation of what is yet to be.
When someone you love has died, thoughts of living your life without them is overwhelming. The feeling of hopelessness permeates throughout your existence. As a result, grief sometimes distinguishes the light within your soul.
You ask yourself, “why should I go on? And how?” Those of us also grieving the unthinkable loss of a loved one understand. We have walked miles on the isolating and lonely road of hopelessness, believing that there is no end.
Yet, somehow, without realizing, glimmers start to find their way into our hearts: the beauty in the sunsets or the kindness of a dear friend. These glimmers slowly glue the pieces of our broken hearts together, filling in the cracks, allowing the heart to beat again, discovering its new rhythm.
If there is no hope to be found, we understand. Others hold hope for you, to keep it safe until the glimmers eventually find their way into your heart on tiny moment at a time.
With love and hope,
